The Portfolio Resus Programme

Find out more about our newest portfolio development programme below

For the first time, we are delivering our portfolio development service through a 6 month cohort programme.

Commencing in September 2024, selected candidates (mentees) will have access to a personal near-peer mentor in their desired specialty, virtual portfolio development events and e-learning modules to work through at their own pace.

Programme Structure

To be eligibile for The Portfolio Resus Programme, you must meet all of the following criteria:

1. GMC registered with a current or upcoming job in the NHS.

 2. Junior doctor at an FY1-FY3+ level.

3. Applying to training (IMT/CST/Anaesthetics/Radiology/Paediatrics) within the next two years.

As a social enterprise, we recognise the importance of improving accessiblity to training programmes. We believe the days of paying hundreds of pounds for impersonal, generic interview and portfolio preparation courses should come to an end.

We make a promise to our mentees that we will keep our pricing competitive and that a significant amount of our profits will be reinvested in mentee and mentor development on our programmes.

The following fee is payable following candidate selection:

We are very confident about the quality of our programme and the support it will provide you with – so much that we are willing to provide an outcome guarantee. If you feel you did not achieve your intended goals, we will offer you a further six months of mentorship and an additional one-to-one career planning session with a member of our senior team.

If you can’t wait to get started on your career mentorship journey then you’re in luck, applications open on 17th June at 9am! From this date, you will be able to register using the button below.

Please ensure you have read the eligibility requirements before applying.

Our specialty trainee mentors are chosen based on their passion for mentorship and strong clinical portfolios. Having received training before delivering mentorship on our cohorts, they are well versed on helping you to set, plan and achieve your desired SMART goals.

We aim to allocate you a near-peer mentor in the specialty that you requested during the application stage.

Your personal near-peer mentor is there to support you with your career. This may include:

  • Helping you to set career goals and advising you on the steps needed to reach these goals
  • Building your portfolio
  • Advice on your projects and presentations
  • Offering you an alternative perspective
  • Interview preparation

We understand that many junior doctors may be undecided about their specialty career path. As long as your interests align with at least one of our five offered specialties (IMT/CST/Anaesthetics/Radiology/Paediatrics) then we encourage you to apply.

Unfortunately we currently are not able to facilitate places on our cohort programmes for doctors who are not UK based and do not have GMC registration

Yes, you are still eligible to apply. We accept candidates from grades FY1-FY3 who are intending to apply within the next two years.
