Becoming a Mentor

Find out more about what its like to be a mentor at The Portfolio Clinic

Support, inspire and motivate.

Becoming a mentor at The Portfolio Clinic provides you with the opportunity to guide your peers through the challenges of portfolio development, career planning and specialty training applications. Through reflecting on your own experience, you could be providing advice on suitable projects, maximising FY3/FY4’s and preparing for interviews. Our mentors find supporting a near-peer a satisfying and rewarding experience.

Learn, develop and refine.

Whether you have previous experience of delivering mentorship or are new to the skill, our education team will work with you to ensure you have the tools necessary to most effectively support your mentees. All our mentors receive free mentorship and coaching training prior to beginning mentorship through a small group teaching session and e-learning modules.

Explore, network and collaborate

Over the past 3 years, we have created a diverse hub of clinicians who are eager to develop themselves professionally. As a mentor you will have the opportunity to integrate yourself within this stimulating community, work on projects together and make career defining relationships.
